Fixing the bed

So, I had my first chance to be "handy." Reason being - I had to fix the bed frame. During the moving process, it appears that parts of the frame got broken. So, what I would have had to do was either repair the bed or buy a new one. I chose the first option. After looking at it, basically what happened was one of the reinforcements, which was a long strip of wood that connected both legs together in the headboard, had been ripped away from the bed, no longer holding the one leg in place, while the part that connected the same leg to the front of the frame had also been cracked. So, Steph and I went to Home Depot and got some shims and some nails.

The first picture shows the crack, in the piece of wood, and how I reinforced it with the shim:

See... I can be handy, handsy, and, for all intents and purposes, fucking sweet. All though, my hammer-swinging needs a bit of improving. I don't think its a stamina problem. Mostly, its my accuracy. It'll come in due time.
