Ok. So, I liked the episode. If anyone watched the BBC version of this show, this episode parallels with that one. Michael (the boss) sells his condo and makes adjustments for his life based on the idea that he will get a job in corporate before the interview and then doesn't get the job. Karen gives Jim basically the ultimatum. But also suggests that she is leaving no matter what, and so he leaves the interview to go back to the office to see Pam. They imply he just left Karen there without telling her, which is really awful considering she is in New York and 3 hours away from their Scranton office.
So, this is what I think will happen. Jim and Pam have their date. It goes well. They start to date, but Karen is there to create the conflict. I don't think they'll write her chraracter off like they did in the BBC version. They can't. Because, then the series would be over because there wouldn't be anything standing in their way of getting together. But she'll come back and make it known that she doesn't like Pam and boom, conflict. I don't know how they're going to play him leaving her in New York. Maybe they talked about it, he said he was sick or something. Or, maybe he just left. Its all possible.
Ryan got the job, so he's leaving. Meaning Kelly will be down and sad, etc. My prediction is that the next office relationship will be Andy and Kelly. Why? Because Angela hates Kelly and everyone (besides Kelly) knows this. Angela and Dwight are together, and Dwight and Andy don't get along. So, it would work out perfectly. Unless they bring in a new temp. And its a new season, so you figure they will have to bring in a new character.
And that is my thought. Wow. I hope I don't sound as annoying as those people who talk about the soap operas, where the dude was killed, but then comes back as his evil twin, and then gets a face transplant because the actor left but they didn't want to kill the character. You know, that guy.

Ryan is so mean! I think Jim had to have talked to Karen before he left and I'm even a little upset that he asked Pam out so soon. If he's a wank, too, I have no hope left for men.
Why would that make him a wank? Karen gave him an ultimatem. She said she was leaving anyways. Jim knew he wasn't going to get the job and why leave Dunder-Miflin now? He obviously has feelings for Pam, so he's doing what is right.
Wait, wait. Just because they're going to dinner doesn't mean they're going to hump. They could be going to dinner to talk about the job thing. We don't really know what's happening on the date yet. For all we know Jim is still weird about her crazy ex.
I hope Creed starts up a relationship with that drunk redhead chick, because that would be hilarious.
Also, I see LOTS of conflict with Ryan being the new Jan and having to visit the office with Kelly in it.
